Meet the Office

All during my pregnancy, D has been curious about how this whole baby thing works. Well, maybe not the whole baby thing, but how the baby gets out. We have tried to answer his questions honestly and using the correct terminology. We talked about vaginal births and c-sections. We didn't get into a lot of detail, he is after all only 4. But we did answer his questions.

So, after the birth, the kids came to see the baby and I. Because A was born at 7:50 pm, the kids were able to come that night. Needless to say, I was a bit uh, sore... D was concerned and asked how my v* was doing. The next evening when we had family prayer, he prayed for my v* to get better. Really, I think the kid knows too much.

This was the best though:

We took the baby to Roy's office to make her grand debut. (She was, of course, hungry and ate nearly the entire time.) Just when the largest crowd had gathered of onlookers, D took that opportunity to announce that my v* was doing much better (because he has been asking very concernedly). Whew, look at me blush and try to talk over him. Fortunately the onlookers were all women at that point! They took note of my embarrassment and mostly pretended not to notice.
