Public Service Announcement:
For anyone who is keeping track, brown sugar should be added to The List of Things Difficult to Remove From Carpet and/or Upholstery. It is not however difficult to remove from a 2 year old. The trickest part is removing the 2 year old from the brown sugar.

Good to know! Good luck with the sugar. The best carpet cleaner I have found is vinegar and water, works great and once its dry the lovely smell of vinegar goes away.
